How Satisfactory is Distance Education for Pre-Service English Language Teachers?

Several national and international higher education institutions had already started offering distance to their students; however, the global outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic in first quarter 2020 accelerated this process educational at all levels switch line with precautions taken by governments. It can be argued that neither nor teachers/instructors students were well-prepared for such a swift shift. Therefore, aim study is identify satisfaction pre-service English language teachers shedding light on variables may have an influence perceptions. A mixed methods research design, involving 122 studying state university Turkey, was employed within both qualitative quantitative data collected analyzed. For analysis data, descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, one-way variance (ANOVA) Mann-Whitney U test utilized. Likewise, analyzed via content analysis. The results analyses indicate implementation regarded as satisfactory some respects unsatisfactory other respects. hypothesized specification these aspects will possibly help design implement operations more effectively since opinions perceptions are revealed study.
